Financing your AFS Experience

My mother used to tell me stories about her AFS experience in Brazil. I listened, a wide-eyed little girl, failing to imagine how she left behind her loved ones to live so far away for an entire year. But it's like a bug, my mom had said. It's something you catch, almost inexplicably, and can't get rid of. Eventually, I caught it too.

My mother never forced it on me - she didn't even bring it up, except for those memories she shared. I was 13 when she took me on vacation to visit Brazil...


Europe's influence is strong in Argentina, yet you'll find Argentina has a vigorous identity of its own, placing high values on culture, tradition, and hospitality.

AFS offers year, semester and summer programs to Argentina.


We encourage students to apply early for the broadest range of country, program and scholarship availability. In addition, students who complete the full application by the dates below will receive a discount of $250 towards their AFS tuition.

Winter 2008 - submit your full application by August 31, 2007.
Summer 2008 - submit your full application by December 31, 2007.
