7/3/2007 - AFS Exchange Student Awarded for Volunteer Service

On April 11 2007, Ragnhild Rokstad, AFS North Texas-Tarrant County
Exchange Student from Molde, Norway was awarded the Commander’s
Commemorative Coin #149 for her Volunteer Work during a Christmas Party at the Texas Air National Guard, 136th Airlift Wing, NAS JRB Carswell Field in Fort Worth, Texas.

The Award was given to Ragnhild by Vice Commander Jim Conley of the Texas Air National Guard. We are very proud of Ragnhild, because this Award is not given for just any reason. Ragnhild had volunteered to assist with taking photos and painting the faces of the Texas Air National Guard’s children that attended the Party.

Ragnhild’s Host Family is Jimmy and Barbee Jaynes of White Settlement,
Texas. Her AFS Liaison is Master Sergeant Constance Mick of the Texas Air National Guard and she has an AFS Sister from Italy, Eleonora Pavesi. She, also has two Texas Sisters, Shauna Jaynes and Amber Jaynes Moore.
