young people of our nation to study abroad with AFS and, in doing so,
help to build a more just and peaceful world.

- Tell students they have been nominated for an AFS program
- Encourage students to fill out a pre-application on the AFS-USA website
- Student then completes the full AFS application
- You receive Connections Credits to use as you wish
- Your nominated students receive $75 off their tuition

For more than 60 years, AFS has worked in partnership with people like you—educators, volunteers and other community leaders—to help us spread the word about student exchange and why it is so vital, especially in today’s world. For every student you nominate who studies abroad, you not only
help to inspire a young life, you also earn Connections Credits which
you can use to fund your own international travel or provide scholarships for
your students!
How Does Global Connections Work?
Educators, AFS Returnees, AFS Volunteers and other community leaders are welcome to nominate students through Global Connections. For every student you nominate who goes abroad, you will not only transform a life—you’ll earn Connections Credits, and your student receives a $75 tuition discount.

- Fund AFS study-abroad scholarships for students in your community
- Travel to AFS-related volunteer events
- Fund your own international travel
- Give yourself an international exchange experience
